Omar Ocasio
Lead Spanish Teacher/Entrepreneurial Development Teacher
Señor Ocasio was born in Puerto Rico, surrounded by the warm waters of the Caribbean. After finishing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management, he realized he wanted something more meaningful. Being fluent in both Spanish and English, he started teaching at James Irwin in 2015. His love for the students and the language learning process have moved him to teach Spanish 1, 2, 3, Heritage Course for Spanish Heritage students, and an elective called Entrepreneurial Development. This year he has accepted additional responsibilities as lead teacher of the Foreign Language Department. As demanding as teaching could be, Señor Ocasio loves every opportunity he has to support all students and lead them in their present and future success.
