Molly Smith

Mrs. Molly Smith joined the James Irwin High School team in the fall of 2023. Mrs. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in government and history from Liberty University and then moved to Washington D.C. where she worked as a lobbyist. In 2008, Molly and her husband moved to Colorado Springs for the mountains and a healthier pace of life. In 2009, she founded Republic of Paws, a local pet retail and grooming chain that provided the opportunity to see government from the lens of the private sector. After 14 years, Mrs. Smith was able to convince her husband to take over top level management of their small business, so she could pursue a growing passion, to educate and equip the next generation. Mrs. Smith is excited to join such a passionate team of educators. Her two children, Jackson in middle school, and Evelyn in elementary, join her at James Irwin.
