Dear Prospective Staff Member:

Thank you for your interest in James Irwin Charter Schools.  Our mission is to help guide students in the development of their character and academic potential through academically rigorous, content-rich educational programs.

Every decision at James Irwin Charter Schools comes back to a basic question.  “What is best for the students?”   While we believe academic excellence is important, developing men and women of character is paramount.

We are looking for professionals who are passionate about serving students and who are open to growing in ways they didn’t think possible.  The professional development that we provide to staff members is second to none.  We continually assess our work and are very intentional on steps to improve it.

Our teachers, instructional aides, and staff members work hard.  Consequently, our results show it.   We are routinely ranked among the very best in the state of Colorado.  Both of our elementary schools consistently rank in the top of the state in reading, writing and mathematics.  Our middle school is known for its single sex classrooms and developing character and leadership in this age group.  Our high school was ranked by US News and World Report as being the 8th best high school in the state of Colorado.  PTEC, our pre-engineering/professional trade school was chosen as the Independence Institute's public school of the year to showcase.

Race, ethnicity and socio-economic status do not dictate where our students place.   As  “NO EXCUSE” schools, James Irwin Charter Schools have closed the gap between the supposed haves and have nots.

We work to maintain a positive, solution-oriented work environment.  We are looking for like-minded individuals who want to be challenged and who are ready to serve as a team member of one of our six schools.

Thank you again for considering James Irwin Charter Schools.

Sincerely,

Rob Daugherty
