Power Technical's Fifth Annual Golf Tournament - August 18, 2025

Four years ago, we began a charity golf tournament to raise funds for Power Technical "PTEC", a James Irwin Charter School. With generous donors like you, we have been able to raise over $76,000 for the school while having a fantastic time on the golf course. The funds raised have been used to purchase a forklift, a CNC Mill, robotics kits, and general supplies for the school. Our fifth annual tournament will be held on August 18, 2025, and we are hoping for your support! Our students are your future workforce, and we want them to leave school as prepared and well qualified as possible. The tournament will be played at the United States Air Force Academy's Eisenhower Golf Club as a four-person scramble format. We are bringing back some of the events that our players loved, including the Beat the Pro hole, the $1M shootout, and hole-in-one contests. T

Power Technical is a tuition-free, professional trade school that serves students through high school. We focus on character development, academic excellence, and 90 minutes of shop class per day. Shop classes at PTEC include Automotive, CAD, Construction, Electrical, Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Arts 6th & 7th, Manufacturing, Masonry, Plumbing, Robotics, Welding and Woodshop. In order to continue to provide top-tier educational opportunities to our students, we rely on fundraisers such as this golf tournament to supplement our budget. The money raised from this year’s golf tournament will directly support PTEC teachers and students, being utilized for machines, tools, and materials for both our shop classes and our main core content classes.  We hope that you will consider a sponsorship or prize donation to help support the tournament and, most importantly, the students and teachers of PTEC.

If you have any questions about sponsorship opportunities, please feel free to contact the tournament directors: Sean Grunwell, at 619-816-1945 or sean.grunwell@gmail.com, and Julie Grunwell, at 619-816-2169 or sjcgrunwell@gmail.com.
